July 11, 2016
Emirates Islamic, one of the leading Islamic financial institutions in the UAE, was honoured with the prestigious Excellence in Practice Citation Award by the Association for Talent Development (ATD). The bank won in the Organisational Learning & Development and Learning Technologies categories for its ‘CX Learning Initiative' that aims at inculcating the customer-centric philosophy of the bank in all staff members.
The award ceremony was held on May 23 in the Association for Talent Development's International Conference & Exposition in Denver, Colorado. Emirates Islamic's Learning and Development division was recognised for its exceptional CX Learning Initiative that provides its staff an educative and interactive training opportunity structured around the core customer focused values of the bank and trains employees to strengthen and develop their intrapersonal and service skills.
Commenting on the win, Hessa Al Mulla, Head of Human Resources at Emirates Islamic, said: "Emirates Islamic's Learning and Development team ensures that our valuable staff continue to reach their full potential. We are very proud of our CX Learning Initiative that truly instils our customer-centric values into our employees and enables them to offer a customer experience that is second to none. The skills that they learn in this programme and in all our other various training opportunities, such as the Own-Up Learning Initiative or the License to Operate Programme, are skills that they will take forward throughout in life as well as benefit the bank in retaining one of the most talented teams in the UAE."
The 'Own-Up Learning Initiative' is a unique and innovative learning experience for staff that helps them recognise how to better their own customer experience capabilities while the ‘License to Operate' Programme is a comprehensive and meticulous training and development for new joiners. Emirates Islamic also runs four full-fledged training programmes for UAE nationals including Al Mustaqbal, The UniGrad Programme, Assistant Branch Manager Certification and Future Branch Manager Programme that provides Emirati professionals with a strong and intensive foundation for their career development.
