Emirates Islamic announces Ramadan initiatives

Emirates Islamic, one of the leading Islamic financial institutions in the UAE, today announced a range of CSR and promotional initiatives for the holy month of Ramadan. Through these programmes, the bank aims to better the lives of not just its customers, but those in need and spread happiness to the residents of the UAE.

The initiatives include:

  • Collaboration with the transportation company, ‘Careem’, to provide free rides to the mosque
  • Partnership with Dar Al Ber to provide Iftar meals
  • Sponsorship of the prestigious Dubai International Holy Quran Award
  • Personal Finance promotion with 10 winners receiving a 0% profit rate
The bank announced a collaboration with Careem, the region’s leading chauffeur-driven car booking service and home-grown app, to provide free rides to the mosque during the holy month of Ramadan. Every day during Ramadan, customers can avail complimentary rides with Careem to the nearest mosque for Isha and Taraweh prayers simply by using the “Emiratesislamic” code.

Emirates Islamic is partnering with its longtime associate, Dar Al Ber, to provide daily Iftar meals for the residents of Fujairah as well as the labour community in Dubai-Al Qouz Area. Emirates Islamic will also be one of the gold sponsors of the honorable Dubai International Holy Quran Award held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Also, the bank is offering 10 lucky customers a chance to win Personal Finance at 0 % profit rate. Customers can apply for a Personal Finance before 21 July 2016, for a chance to win a 0% profit rate finance or receive their finance at a competitive rate during this period. Additional benefits include higher finance amounts and payment holidays up to 60 days.

The bank recently announced the launch of its Emirates Islamic Charity Fund which was set up to govern and manage its strategy for charitable donations and giving. In 2016, the bank has so far distributed nearly AED 30 million dirhams to various charitable causes.
