Emirates Islamic National School League – Football’ completes successful second season

Emirates Islamic today successfully completed its second season of the ‘Emirates Islamic National School League – Football’ championship that commenced in October last year.

Over the course of two hundred and fifty plus games played during the season’s five-month period, LFI Georges Pompidou School were once again declared champions in the under 16’s & 14’s categories, having also won the double in the league’s previous season, while Dubai English Speaking College won the title in the under 12’s category. Star players of this season’s league will fly to Rennes, France, for training and tryouts at French Club Stade Rennais F.C.

With a highly successful inaugural edition in 2015/2016, the second season of the ‘Emirates Islamic National School League – Football’ saw a greater participation with over 90 teams from 60 schools in the UAE competing and the addition of an Under 12’s category.
