How to pay using Samsung Pay

Once you have added you Emirates Islamic Credit Card, Debit Card or Prepaid Card to Samsung Pay, you can pay with these three simple steps:


Swipe up

Swipe up from the home button to launch Samsung pay and select your Emirates Islamic Card.

Authenticate

Authorize the transaction with your fingerprint, iris scanner or Samsung Pay PIN.

Tap

Place the phone on the terminal.

How to set-up Samsung Pay


Step1

Ensure that the device software is updated to the latest Android™ software (Settings > About device > Software info > Android version).

Step2

Add the Samsung Account, provided at the time of registration onto the device (Settings > Accounts > Add Samsung Account.

Step3

Click on Samsung Pay icon, download and install the Samsung Pay app.

Step4

Log into your Samsung Account from the Samsung Pay app to set your PIN and fingerprint.

How to add your card

Here’s how you can add your Emirates Islamic Credit Card, Debit Card or Prepaid Card to Samsung pay.


Step 1

Tap on 'Add Credit or Debit Card'. You can scan or manually enter your Emirates Islamic Credit Card, Debit Card or Prepaid Card details and follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 2

Verify your Emirates Islamic Card by entering OTP sent across to you either through SMS or email.

All Visa Credit Cards, Debit Cards and Prepaid Cards issued by Emirates Islamic Bank are eligible to be used on Samsung Pay.

Up to ten unique cards can be added to a device. Besides payment cards, loyalty cards can also be added to the wallet to a max count of thirty.

Launch the Samsung Pay app on your Samsung device and add your Emirates Islamic Visa Credit Card, Debit Card or Prepaid Card by scanning or by manually entering the details and authenticating with your fingerprint or 4-digit pin. Start making secure contactless transactions with your Samsung device.

For security purposes, a one-time passcode is required to be entered in order to confirm your identity. This code is a unique series of numbers and/or letters which will be sent via email or text. If prompted, you must select how you wish to receive the one-time passcode and then enter it into the appropriate field.

Samsung Pay is accepted virtually everywhere a physical card can be swiped. It is accepted at MST and NFC technology terminals.

No, you are not charged for using Samsung Pay.

Card art will not always match and is dependent on the network. The last four digits on the card art in Wallet will always match the last four digits of the plastic card.

If your Samsung device is either lost or stolen, you can go to Samsung's website using Find My Mobile service. This will happen even if a device is offline and not connected to a mobile or Wi-Fi network.

Alternatively, you can call us on 600 599 995 to suspend or delete a card from Samsung Pay.

If you have lost your physical card and then receive a replacement card, you will need to remove the original card record from Samsung Pay and register your new card again.

If you wish to return a purchase made with Samsung Pay, you will have to bring along your physical Emirates Islamic Card along with the Samsung device and request the merchant to issue the refund back on your Card. You can hold the device near the payment terminal and authorize with touch ID or passcode.

If you had previously registered your credit card on Samsung Pay, and the card is due for renewal, the replacement credit card will automatically be registered back to Samsung Pay when you activate your renewal credit card.

For debit cards you will have to re-enter the card details to enrol it for Samsung Pay.

When performing a reset, all payment information in Samsung Pay will be deleted. You will need to set up and add the card information into Samsung Pay again after the device has been reset.

If you replace your device, you will need to add the card(s) again to Wallet. You must ensure to remove your card(s) from any device before selling, exchanging, or disposing them. You should also remove your card if you are temporarily sharing your device with someone else; for example if your phone is to be repaired.
