1. Am I eligible for this Card if I do not have an Etihad Guest Membership?

Yes, we will create an Etihad Guest account for you and assign a membership number which will be printed on the card plastic.

2. Do I need to activate my Etihad Guest Membership account?

Yes, you will receive an email on your registered email with the Bank with the activation link. Please click on the link and follow the steps mentioned.

3. When do the miles get credited to my Etihad Guest Account?

Etihad Guest Miles will reflect in your Etihad Guest account within 5 - 7 working days from the transaction date.

4. What happens if one of my transactions gets reversed?

The miles earned on this transaction will also get reversed. However if the reversal happens after the miles have been transferred to your Etihad Guest Account, then the respective number of miles will be adjusted against the new earnings.

Etihad Guest Tier Miles will reflect in your Etihad Guest account within 5-7 working days from the eligible transaction date.

2. Can I redeem Etihad Guest Tier miles?

Etihad Guest Tier Miles are used to help customers in achieving a higher Etihad Guest membership Tier status (Silver, Gold & Platinum) as well as in maintaining the same. Etihad Guest Tier Miles cannot be redeemed for anything.

3. What happens to Etihad Guest Tier Miles if one of my transactions gets reversed?

The Etihad Guest Tier Miles earned on the reversed transaction will also get reversed. However if the reversal happens after the miles have been transferred to your Etihad Guest Account, then the respective number of miles will be netted off against the next transaction on your EI Etihad Guest Card until the full miles are settled.

For Premium Cardholders: Achieve Gold Tier status for the first year by spending a minimum of AED 4,500 on Etihad Airways within 12 months from the Card Issuance date using the Emirates Islamic Etihad Guest Card.

3. What is the criteria to achieve a Silver Tier Status?

For Saqer & Ameera Cardholders: Also qualify for a fast track to Silver Tier status for the first year by spending a minimum of AED 2,000 on Etihad Airways within 12 months from the Card Issuance date using the Emirates Islamic Etihad Guest Card.

4. What is the time taken to upgrade my tier from bronze to Silver/Gold Tiers?

Within 4 to 5 days from the time the above criteria is fulfilled.

5. Will supplementary cardholders get the same Tier Status as Primary?

No, Tier status is available for Primary Card holders only.

6. Will I be notified prior to downgrading my Tier Status?

Yes, an intimation will be sent with 3 months advance notice with the threshold required to maintain the Tier

7. How can I maintain the same Tier Status for subsequent years?

Tier status will be updated within 4 working days of meeting the criteria.

2. Will I be informed once the Tier Status is upgraded?

Yes, you will receive an email from Etihad Guest informing the Tier Status upgrade.

1. Do I get Wifi vouchers ever year?

Yes Wifi vouchers are extended on an annual basis on meeting the required spend criteria. For every transaction made at Etihad.com for AED 500 or more, you are eligible for 1 Wifi voucher.

2. How will I receive the wifi voucher?

These will be emailed to you by Etihad Guest within 10 days from the transaction date.

3. Can we use the wifi voucher multiple times?

No. Wifi voucher can be used only once on a single device.

4. How long is the wifi voucher valid?

Once issued, the wifi voucher is valid for a year; however it can only be used once.

5. Does the wifi voucher work on all flights?

Yes, it works on all Etihad flights

6. Once activated, how long will the wifi voucher work?

Up to a usage of 180MB

7. Will I be eligible for the wifi voucher if an Etihad ticket is purchased through a travel agent?

No, the Etihad spend needs to be done on Etihad.com, Etihad branches or the Etihad Call Center.

8. If I purchase a ticket of AED 2,000/- on Etihad airways using my EI Etihad Guest credit card, how many wifi vouchers will I get?

1 Wifi voucher as for every Etihad transaction of AED 500 or more, customer will get 1 wifi voucher.

1. If I use the airport transfer facility from Sharjah to Abu Dhabi airport and vice versa, how many trips will it be counted as?

It will be 2 trips. Trip 1: Sharjah to AUH airport, Trip 2: AUH airport to Sharjah.

2. What happens if I don’t have an Etihad airways spend in the last 3 months?

You will be charged a fee towards the airport transfer(s).

3. Will I be eligible for the airport transfer if the ticket is purchased through a travel agent?

No, the Etihad spend needs to be done on Etihad.com, Etihad branches or the Etihad Call Center.

1. Is the movie offer valid on all cinemas across UAE?

Yes, movies transactions are determined basis the merchant category code (MCC), as defined by VISA. However if the merchant does not fall within the eligible MCC then you will not be awarded with cashback.

2. What is the maximum cashback I can get on movies using my Etihad Guest Cards?

EI Etihad Guest Premium Credit Card – Max cashback capped at AED 100/-
EI Etihad Guest Saqer Credit Card – Max cashback capped at AED 75/-
EI Etihad Guest Ameera Credit Card – Max cashback capped at AED 75/-
EI Etihad Guest Platinum Credit Card – Max cashback capped at AED 50/-

1. Are there any voucher caps for the Miles Discount Vouchers?

There is a maximum cap of 2 vouchers per anniversary year for Etihad Premium cardholders and 1 voucher per anniversary year for Etihad Saqer, Ameera and Platinum cardholders.

2. How can I check if I have achieved the required spend?

The bank will periodically communicate the spends reached by you for the given anniversary year. You can also call our customer care.

3. Are there any restricitions on number of passengers for using the Miles Discount voucher?

Yes, each Miles Discount Voucher can be used for a booking with a maximum of two passengers for any destination and any class. The two passengers may or may not include cardholder.

4. How long is Miles Discount Voucher valid once I receive it?

The voucher is valid for a period of six months from the date of issuance. Within six months the voucher must be utilized for booking tickets for travel period within 12 months. There will be no extension once the voucher has expired.

5. Are there any blackout dates for which I cannot use the voucher?

Yes, there is a blackout period of July, August and December and flights for these months cannot be booked using Miles Discount Voucher.

1. Does Emirates Islamic charge any additional profit on accrued profit?

No, Emirates Islamic does not charge any additional profit on accrued profit on any credit product granted to customers.
