Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe provides you with a Password to protect your online transactions, just like you use your PIN at an ATM. Here are the steps:

• Select the goods or services you want from a VISA & MasterCard certified online store and proceed to the payment page.
• Enter your Emirates Islamic Bank Debit/ Credit Card number, expiry date and CVC/CVV in the payment page and the online store will connect with Emirates Islamic Bank to check whether your Card is secured with Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe.
• Emirates Islamic Bank will then initiate an Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe pop-up window on your computer screen.
• Enter your Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe password. Emirates Islamic Bank will then confirm your identity to the merchant.

Your payment is authorized and your order is placed. It's that simple!

Emirates Islamic Bank offers comprehensive fraud protection, but Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe goes a step further, adding an extra layer of security. The service helps prevent unauthorized online use before it happens by confirming your identity with an additional password. When you correctly enter your password during a purchase at a participating online merchant, you confirm that you are the authorized cardholder and your purchase is then completed. If an incorrect password is entered, the purchase will not be completed. Even if someone knows your credit or debit card number, the purchase cannot be completed without your password at a participating merchant.

The next time you use your Emirates Islamic Bank Card for your online transactions at a participating MasterCard & Visa merchant, you will automatically be prompted to register for Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe, just follow the bellow simple steps to activate your card for this service.

• Step 1: Enter your card number, expiry date and CVC (the 3 digit number on the reverse of your Card) in the payment page.
• Step 2: An Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe Pop–up registration window will appear on your computer screen and you will be required to enter the 8 digit Authentication Code sent as an SMS on your mobile number registered with Emirates Islamic Bank.
• Step 3: Reset your password to a more personal one and click on Submit. Make sure you can easily remember your password as you will be prompted for it each time you shop online at a MasterCard & VISA merchant.
• Step 4: A successful registration screen will appear and you are now ready to complete your online purchase while enjoying the added protection on your card.

The added protection of Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe is available as soon as you receive a confirmation that your registration is successful. You will automatically be redirected to the merchant site that you were transacting in prior to being prompted to register. You may continue shopping immediately after at any of the participating stores.

Once you have registered, you will be able to use Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe service right away on participating merchant sites which features the VISA & MasterCard logo. Wherever you see the MasterCard & VISA symbol, you know you can shop with an added layer of security. Whenever you use your registered card to pay at participating online stores, your Emirates Islamic Bank card number will automatically be recognized and the Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe password window will appear. Your password will be required to complete the purchase.

You can register any of your existing Emirates Islamic Bank Credit/ Debit Cards to be protected by Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe . You do not need to apply for a new card.

We encourage you to register all of your Emirates Islamic Bank Credit and Debit cards for this service. There is no limit to how many cards you can register.

Both primary and supplementary cardholders need to register separately for Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe and create their own Password to shop at participating online stores.

If you are registered with an Emirates Islamic Bank Credit Card, you do not need to re-register as the card number remains the same. However, if you are registered with an Emirates Islamic Bank Debit card, you have to re-register the new renewed card again as the card number changes.

We understand that many people are reluctant to enter their Credit card/ Debit card numbers in unfamiliar places online, but you can rest assured that your personal and payment card information is transmitted by Emirates Islamic Bank using a high level of encryption and is stored on a secure server behind a firewall to protect against unauthorized access.

Password should be 8 characters long and should be alpha numeric. It can be a combination of upper and lower case characters and cannot contain spaces and special characters.

Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe works with just about any computer that's connected to the Internet. There is no special software to install. Once you activate your card, you'll continue to shop as usual, and your Emirates Islamic Bank card number will be automatically recognized at checkout. Just enter your Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe password and complete the regular checkout process. Please be advised software which prevents pop-up windows may interfere with your use of Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe.

Participating online stores will automatically recognize your Emirates Islamic Bank MasterCard & VISA card number if you have registered it for Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe and a pop up screen will be shown asking for your Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe password.

When you pay with your Emirates Islamic Bank card, the Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe service launches automatically at participating online stores. After you enter your Emirates Islamic Bank card number and other required information and submit your order, an Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe window will appear and an authentication page will be displayed. Enter your Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe password and click on Submit. Once your identity is verified, you can complete your payment.

If you forget your password, you may reset your password (create a new password) while shopping. After entering your Credit/Debit Card number, CVC and Card expiry in the payment page, the Authentication pop up screen will open. Press on "Forgot your password" link and you will be prompted to enter the 8 digit Authentication Code sent as an SMS on your mobile number registered with Emirates Islamic Bank. Use the Authentication Code and reset your password to a more convenient one. Always be sure to keep your password safe and never write it down.

• To ensure your security, Emirates Islamic Bank will disallow you from using non-registered Emirates Islamic Bank Cards for online transactions up to five times from the time of launch of Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe.

However, we strongly recommend that you should not cancel the pop up screen and should register for Emirates Islamic Bank Double Safe as it protects you from online transaction fraud.
