Change or upgrade your Emirates Islamic Credit Card
If you’d like to change or upgrade to another Emirates Islamic Credit Card, you just need to make sure that you meet the minimum income requirements of the Card you’re applying for. Also, the credit or spending limit on your current Card should at least meet the minimum credit limit of the new Card you are converting or upgrading to.
If you have installment plans on your Card, all of them will be moved to the new Card
Before you change or upgrade to another card
If you’re switching to a card with a different reward programs, you should redeem all your reward points to avoid losing them. All points such as Choice Points, Cash Back Points, Skywards Miles and EI SmartMiles will not be converted/carried forwarded once the Card is swapped.
If you have any installment plans on your Card, all of them will be moved to the new Card.

Once you activate your new Emirates Islamic Credit Card, your existing credit card will automatically be blocked. If the new Card is not activated within 60 days of delivery, your old/existing credit card will be blocked.
Any outstanding balance on your existing card, including linked supplementary cards, will be transferred to the upgraded Credit Card, including charges that have not yet billed. Installment plans, if any, will be transferred to your upgraded Credit Card.
Yes, your Points are automatically transferred to your new Credit Card within a day or two after activating your converted/upgraded Credit Card.
All Supplementary Cards are upgraded along with their Primary Cards.
