Add your Emirates Islamic Credit, Debit or Prepaid Card to your devices and make secure payments in-person and online with Apple Pay

Eligibility

All Emirates Islamic MasterCard/Visa Credit, Debit and Prepaid Cardholders using iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 4, iPad mini 3, iPad (2017), Apple Watch Series 1, Apple Watch Series 2, Apple Watch Series 3, Apple Watch 1st Generation (paired with iPhone 5 or later) can use Apple Pay.

Enroll your Card on Apple Pay

iPhone through the Wallet

  • Open the Wallet app, tap the '+' at the upper-right corner and select 'Add Debit or Credit Card'
  • Scan your card within the frame to capture your card details automatically or enter these details manually
  • Confirm your details and enter your Security Code (CVV) that is the 3 digit number on/beside the signature panel on the back of your card
  • Accept the Terms and Conditions
  • Select SMS or Email option to verify your identify. Emirates Islamic will send you an OTP (One Time PIN) code that you will need to enter to continue
  • Set your Emirates Islamic Card as your default card

iPhone through the Emirates Islamic Mobile Banking App

  • Log in to the Mobile Banking App
  • Click on the Main Menu on the top left of the App
  • Click on Settings > Configuration > Apple Pay
  • Authorise the request through Smart Pass or by entering the Authentication Code sent to your mobile number registered with us
  • See all available cards list for Apple Pay. Swipe between the cards by scrolling up/down. Tap on "Add to Apple Wallet"
  • Follow on-screen and to set your Emirates Islamic Card as your default card

Apple Watch

Cards must be added from the Watch app on the paired iPhone. If more than one Apple Watch is paired to an iPhone, cards must be added to each Apple Watch separately

  • Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone
  • Scroll to 'Wallet & Apple Pay'
  • Select 'Add Credit or Debit Card' and complete the verification steps
  • Set your Emirates Islamic Card as your default card

iPad

  • Go to Settings & tap 'Wallet & Apple Pay'
  • Select 'Add Credit or Debit Card' and complete the verification steps
  • Set your Emirates Islamic Card as your default card

MacBook with Touch ID

  • Go into System Preferences
  • Open the Wallet & Apple Pay
  • Tap the "+" at the top of the screen
  • Follow the onscreen instructions to add the card

Make a purchase in the shop using Apple Pay

Paying with iPhone

  • Look for one of these symbols at checkout
  • Double-click the home button if the phone is locked or open Wallet
  • Select the desired card by tapping it (if you wish to use a different card from your default one)
  • Hold iPhone near Contactless terminal to pay
  • Authenticate with Touch ID or passcode

Paying with Apple Watch

  • Look for one of these symbols at checkout
  • Double tap the side button and
  • Hold your watch near the contactless terminal to pay

Paying within app

Supported merchant apps (available on the App Store) can accept Apple Pay.

  • Tap the Apple Pay button at the checkout
  • Select desired card or address info
  • Verify payment with Touch ID or passcode

Paying on the web

Supported merchant websites can accept Apple Pay with Safari.

  • Tap the Apple Pay button at the checkout
  • Select desired card or address info
  • Verify payment with Touch ID or passcode

Remove your Card from Apple Pay

You can remove your bank cards from Apple Pay at any time. By deleting your bank card from your account, you remove all relevant bank information from your phone. Remember: if Apple Pay is active on other devices, you will need to delete the card on each device individually.

To remove your card from Apple Pay, follow the steps below:

  • From Wallet: Select the card you want to remove - Select Card Details from the top right list and click on "Remove Card"
  • From Settings: Open Settings - Tap 'Wallet & Apple Pay' - Select card to be removed and click on 'Remove Card'
  • From iCloud: Open Settings - Select 'Apple ID, iCloud, Media & Purchases' - Select the device - Select 'Remove items'

FAQs

Apple Pay does not send your actual credit or debit card number with your payment, instead, a virtual card number is used to represent your account information – so your card details stay safe. Moreover, you need to authorize every transaction by Touch ID or your passcode.

If your device is lost or stolen, please contact our 24-hour Call Centre immediately on +971 600 599 995 and we will block your card and a new card will be sent to you. We recommend that you also register for and use “Find My” feature. This will allow you to find, lock and delete details on your device if it is lost or stolen.

No, formatting your device will remove all payment cards registered on your device.

If your Card is lost or stolen, please contact our 24-hour Call Centre immediately on +971 600 599 995. Your physical card will be blocked, and a new card will be sent to you. Since the payment cards on Apple Pay are digital versions of your physical payment cards, you need to remove the original payment card from Apple Pay and register the replacement card.

You would need an internet connection to add/disable cards from Apple Pay and to check card available balance and limits. You don’t need to have data or Wi-Fi connection to make an Apple Pay transactions. Please note that Apple Pay may require you to periodically log in to the app and connect to the internet with your device to keep the app active.

Yes, you can. If it is a supplementary debit card, you will receive the authentication code on your mobile number registered in our records, to verify her card.

If your old card was blocked when you placed a request for replacement, you’ll need to activate and enroll your new card to continue using Apple Pay.

Yes, you must delete all the data on your device including your bank cards you’ve added to Apple Pay or any other digital payment app before you sell the device or give it away. You should remove your bank cards even if you temporarily give your device to someone – for repairs for instance. If you replace or update your device, you’ll need to add your Card(s) to Apple Pay again.

There could be several reasons for this:

  • There may be insufficient funds or credit limit available to make the transaction
  • The payment is over AED 300. Some merchants may not support Apple Pay transactions above AED 300 on their terminals
  • The merchant does not accept contactless payments. Please use another payment method such as your Debit or Credit Card
  • If you do any of the following, all cards in your wallet will be deleted:
    • Sign out of iCloud; or
    • Remove your passcode or Touch ID; or
    • iTunes Full Restore; or
    • Erase All Content & Settings
