Set up, Amend, or Cancel Standing Orders/Instructions

A Standing Order/Instruction is an instruction that you, as an Emirates Islamic account holder, can give to the Bank to make transfers and payments on your behalf.

You can set up these transfers and payments at regular intervals and use them for regular transactions such as fees and rents, utility payments or even for specific amounts to be transferred to other accounts. You can also set them up to end on a certain date or after a certain number of transfers and payments.

You can set up your Standing Instruction to pay the full outstanding amount or just a fixed amount.

Fixed amounts: If you select this option, a fixed amount will be paid each time the Standing Instruction is executed. For example, if you’ve set up a Standing Instruction of AED 1,000 for Etisalat payments and your bill is only AED 700, the Instruction amount of AED 1,000 will be paid as that’s what you’ve instructed the bank to do. However, if your bill is more than AED 1,000, the excess amount will not be paid.

Outstanding amounts: with this option, the outstanding amount is paid every time the Standing Instruction is executed. In the examples above, Etisalat will be paid AED 700 or whatever the outstanding amount is.

To ensure that the exact bill amount is paid, select the ‘Outstanding Amount’ option when setting up Standing Instructions for bill payments.
